She was almost a blur, mixing in with her surroundings as she made her get away. The only thing that made her traceable were the droplets of blood that fell from her wound on her side, caused by a flying kunai. It was a lucky shot, and the woman wouldn’t let it happen again. As she attempted to quicken her pace, lips twitching into a smile as the pain shot through her body, she had to be sure to watch her step. She knew she was approaching the bridge soon, and then she would have to fight more guards. Now, Miyori was not one to deny a fight, but at this moment she knew it would be smart to avoid it. If they saw her then fine, she’d fight them, but the sensible part of her mind wanted to avoid that route. Leaping off of the ground and into the air, Miyori smirked and let her arms hang by her sides, glancing behind her momentarily. The moonlight shone down on the East Kingdom, and the smell of salt water was strong. Looking back ahead, she landed with a short stumble(although caught her footing easily) and continued on with her journey, wherever that may be. And here she thought visiting her home Kingdom would be fun; clearly Miyori was mistaken. They seemed to be a bit more uptight now that the tension of war was getting to them.
Gritting her teeth she slowed her pace and put a hand to her wound. It wasn’t too deep, although the blood seemed to suggest otherwise. Miyori would surely live though, she’d been through a lot more than this in the past. Looking round, she heard footsteps, and was now positive she was near the bridge. Huh. If memory did not deceive her, guards surrounded that area because of how important it was. Making a face, she smiled to herself and quickly shifted her hand into a seal before watching a heavy mist surround her, and the area. Hearing the sudden outbursts from the guards, Miyori continued at a quick walking pace, making sure to avoid the guards. They had to be keeping an eye out; although, unless they had Sharingan, they would see nothing. Miyori smirked, tempted to put this to the test, but thought against it and made her way to an area she knew she would have a few moment’s peace. Her chakra was slowly getting to the low side, but was by no means running out.
“Lover’s Crossing. Haha.” she muttered under her breath, finding her way to a bench. She glanced round and allowed the Hidden Mist Technique to vanish, and she rubbed the side of her head before inspecting the wound. A few stitches and she’d be as good as new! She couldn’t do that here, though. Miyori got to her feet, smirking a little as if to try and keep her hopes up, and looked around curiously, wondering if anyone had successfully followed her. She thought much too highly of herself though, and looked back ahead. If she made her way across the bridge, she’d find her way perhaps to the North Kingdom. The South had a far too competent police force, and the West did not sound appealing, what with all its sand storms and defences. Yes, she’d stay in the North for at least a few weeks.

It was a beautiful night, the moon was shining directly on the bridge. There was a cool breeze every once in a while and it felt nice on the guards faces, it also blew the leaves of distant trees around and they looked awesome shaking in unison. It seemed like any other night at Raixumi, however the usual number of guards posted here had been doubled, something was going on.
The guards stood at their post wearing somewhat frightened looks. They had been put here for a reason, and that reason was to look out for a wanted criminal coming this way. "Her name is Miyori Akamizu," stated one of the guards, he appeared to be the leader of the group. "They say she is as strong as a biju, so you're all to keep on high alert. Report to me at once if you see anything out of the ordinary." His troop responded each with dumb nods, all except one.
This one guard had propped herself against one of the posts of the bridge, she didn't seem frightened at all; Her name was Ijiri Harukichi. The girl was 18 years old and was something of a tomboy, she had joined the guard recently, just after finishing her training with her sensei. She was a very strong, confident, and beautiful young girl. Ijiri's arms were crossed, her right hand holding a red naginata upright. She was seriously impressing the other new recruits with her fearlessness in this situation.
One of the other guards worked up the courage to talk to her, "I don't understand how you can not be scared by all this, they say Miyori is a jinchuriki you know!" Ijiri glared at the man and scoffed at him, "I'm not worried at all; my sensei trained me well, unlike the rest of you. She's just one girl! How bad could she be? Especially when there are so many of us."
Just then the mist appeared and enveloped the group. It was so sudden that it was obviously ninjutsu, the rest of the guards sprung into action and drew their weapons, ready to deal with whatever came. They were all so tense and barking orders to the next that they didn't even notice that someone had slipped between their ranks. Ijiri had an idea of who it was, Miyori, but of course she didn't see her. All she could tell is that her nose picked up the scent of blood, it was so intoxicating a scent that it made her smirk.
Ijiri stayed put, leaning against the post. The mist soon dissipated and the guards were left standing confused on what had exactly happened, they began to question the other on what they saw, and so on. Ijiri raised her hand, she spoke clearly, "I didn't see anything... but don't you think we should report this?" The Captain shook his head, "No, whatever it was is gone now and besides, didn't you just come back from a meeting?"
One of the recruits seemed confused and asked what could be called a dumb question, "Meeting? What meeting?" Ijiri rolled her eyes and explained, "Every two hours, both stations send a guard to meet halfway, when they meet they'll discuss and report what has happened so far. The last meeting was an hour ago so the next one isn't to happen until forty-five minutes or something. I just think that this event is important enough to go to them now."
The Captain thought for a moment and then made his decision, "Alright. Moriguchi, go report to station two." Ijiri snapped at the Captain before Moriguchi could respond, "Moriguchi is slow! And... besides..." Moriguchi sighed and put up his hands in defeat, "She's right, Captain. And, like she said, she wants to see her boyfriend again." Moriguchi ended with a big grin that caused Ijiri to huff at him, "No one asked you!"
The Captain shrugged, "Fine then. Have fun, Ijiri." She responded with a bored "Hai~" and jogged down the bridge, the guards who cared raised their arms and waved as she left. None of them knew it'd be the last they'd see of Ijiri Harukichi.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bridge; the moonlight revealed a gruesome scene. The ground was littered with corpses and splattered with blood. They were certainly all dead, whoever had destroyed them made sure to leave no survivors. It seems however that two of them tried to get away as two corpses are a little ways onto the bridge.
One of the corpses is a strong and perhaps used to belong to a powerful shinobi, it's propped up against a post and it seems as if he was killed by a sword. Curled up on top the lap of this shinobi is the second corpse, this one a young, lithe girl.
It seems her clothes have been stolen along with all of her features, for the body has no face. Near where her face lies is a stain, one can only assume that it was a shed tear just moments before her death. There are no wounds on the body so it seems that she could've been alive - but unable to resist - during the face stealing process. One can only imagine the intense amount of pain that one would feel and how they'd suffocate afterwards with no place on their body to breathe with.
Ijiri approached Miyori from behind, supreme confidence in each of her steps. She spoke with the voice of a proud, young woman, "Miyori Akamizu... I admire your longevity, coming this far with a wound like that. However, the wound in itself is what is making me feel so disappointed in finally seeing you."
The girl's voice now turned deep, like that of a man, "I followed you all this way because I heard that you were a jinchuriki. No matter..." The girl reached and tugged near her hairline, her face coming off in one quick motion, revealing the real face underneath. White skin; intense, snake-like eyes; long, fine black hair; and a chiseled face. The body too was now that of a man.
"I have a feeling that you'll still be able to entertain me," said Orochimaru, a smirk on his face that showed off his sharp teeth.

Smirking, hand on her hip Miyori turned and looked at the guard. She titled her head to the right as she spoke, eyes studying the weapon in her hand before letting out a sharp laugh. This girl was confident, she’d give her that. But there was something off about her. She was part of the Kingdom, and usually ones that had something to work for and protect were strong and had a certain sparkle in their eye that Miyori was missing. Miyori was selfish and egotistical; her sparkle had gone. This woman had a good job - although not for long, if she stuck around Miyori - and yet everything in her eyes were dead. But as she continued speaking, Miyori narrowed her own lime green eyeballs judgingly. She watched as the skin peeled away, and the woman refused to show any emotion. She titled her head back slightly, hair falling over her shoulder as Orochimaru revealed himself.
She was not expecting that.
“That was… Disgustingly interesting.” Miyori commented dryly. She looked the man up and down again; there was no mistaking it. This man could… No, Miyori was certain it was Orochimaru. One of the most well known and powerful shinobi throughout the kingdoms. And yet, even though he had such a large status and reputation, no one was ever sure who he was. Like a mythological tale. Another chuckle escaped, still as sinister, but she allowed amusement to enter her voice. “A wound such as this is like a paper cut to a normal Shinobi.” she added. And it was true: this wound was very simple and easily ignored. Miyori could manage, and she knew she’d have to play up her confidence in her abilities(if possible) around this man. There was a reason he had approached her, whether it be for his own entertainment or something more. Miyori wasn’t interested in reason.
What an ironic place to meet such a man. Lover’s Crossing. It was a ridiculous place to start with, but yet Miyori couldn’t help but see the humour in it. No doubt people would start to avoid this part of the bridge after hearing of the dangers. She glanced past Orochimaru and to the distance. The guards were still there, cluelessly alert. Miyori smirked for a moment before concentrating on Orochimaru again. He was tall, and most likely what she had expected. All those tales and folklores about him… They were mostly accurate. Would his power meet her expectations? Most likely, they would rise above them. But Miyori expected, unlike with others, that he was one to watch out for. Challenging him would be a mistake… Or a very fun challenge. She let a hand rest on one of her kurasigama for a moment.
“Entertainment, hm?” she mused aloud, “And you chose me? I’m honoured.” Speaking to a man such as Orochimaru in this way was probably not a smart idea, but perhaps he was in a good mood. Perhaps he’d find it amusing. Miyori didn’t care, nor did she really think about it. She just did things, and that wasn’t her problem. She could hear a guard laughing in the distance; perhaps a joke was being told. She turned her head momentarily out of curiously, but quickly looked back at Orochimaru. She definitely didn’t trust this man, and maybe he already knew that. It kind of came with being Orochimaru, and she could understand that. Not a lot of people trusted Miyori on sight, either.
