A SIMPLE DAY [Open]

[KEI SEISHOU]

It was early in the morning, the sun having barely risen into the sky. Because of this, the air was still chilled from the night. Long shadows were cast across the town from the low sun, giving the place not a boring look, but a look that made one want to crawl back under the covers and curl up. And so it was with Kei -- except she didn't go back home. The thought up going back to bed wasn't an unpleasant one, though, and she entertained the idea the whole while that she prepared for her daily day, whatever that would turn out to be.

She dressed in casual clothing this morning; all of which consisted of black. A lot of people commented that it didn't suit her personality. She was rarely in a "dark" mood, and if she was, woe to those who caused it! She was usually happy and smiling, and so people thought that brighter colors would be better for her. She didn't care though, she rather liked the color and the way black clothing always looked! Strapping her bow, known as Kokorosagasu, on her back and her quiver on her left leg, Kei left her house without a second thought -- if she thought twice, she might indeed find herself back in bed!

The walk to her destination was quick and uneventful. Not many people had awoken yet, and so the path was clear without interruptions of any sort. It also wasn't a long walk from her home, so that might have had something to do with it. Either way, she entered the small cafe, Nevernia, a short time later. Sidling up to the front, glancing at the few patrons that sat chatting quietly or sat alone, Kei smiled at the young woman that seemed to currently be running the place. Her shift, perhaps?

"Can I just get a sandwich, please? Whichever's cheapest? And something to drink." she asked. She had enough money for more, but she just wanted something small for now. She could always order more afterwards if she wanted, after all. The woman nodded, and Kei turned around to look for a seat. She found one, empty so she didn't have to sit with anyone -- but if anyone came up to sit with her, than she wouldn't turn them away but enjoy their company. Taking the seat, she sat alone quietly, waiting for her order.
